A NEW ROOF!!!

Ali wanted to show you some pictures of our new roof...
They started last Tuesday ripping off the shingles and tar paper.
Had everything dried in by Friday night w/ peel n' stick
Started with the shingles on Tuesday!

Our 7 Year Anniversary!

We celebrated all weekend... what FUN!

Saturday morning, we had a nice breakfast, played with Ali, and did some clean-up/chores while Ali took her morning nap. That afternoon, we went out to a fund-raiser for Candle-lighters of Brevard (Julia's party for a cause) at Paradise Beach. This little girl had a story very similar to Eddie's experience and we just wanted to show our support. We enjoyed the afternoon on the beach, then went to church Saturday evening.
Sunday morning, we got the boat out, cleaned it up, and went out on C-54 for the first time this summer. Eddie and I had a great time with Ali and Hailey out on the water. Very relaxing and a great opportunity for us to reflect on all the fun times and great memories we have made together over the last 7 years. Sunday evening, we took dinner to Nyla & Chris,
friends of ours that just had a baby.
A great way to wrap up a great weekend.

Monday (our actual anniversary), Eddie and Ali came home with a beautiful pot full of pink tulips... my favorite! Then we had a nice dinner date at Outback.

I feel SO blessed to have such a wonderful loving husband to share my life with and to be such a great father to our beautiful little girl. Thanks for all you do! I love you Eddie!

Easter Egg Time!

Ali is so inquisitive and looks at everything with such an innocent mind.
Just the other day, we were getting ready to go on a walk. I put on my shoes and got the stroller... Ali walked over and got Hailey's leash and brought it to me and said "dog"... That's crazy! I didn't say anything about taking Hailey on a walk... she just knew what was next! WOW!
She's learning so quickly!

Ali's 12mo Stats

Today I took Ali to see Dr. Mas for her 12 month check-up.

She's right on track...
She weighs 21 lbs 13 oz (50%) *she was 7 lbs 13 oz when she was born
and is 30" tall (75%)*she was 19 3/4" long when she was born
She is doing all the right things developmentally...

• Walking everywhere FAST!
  
• Blowing kisses & giving hugs
• Clapping & Banging two objects together
• Dancing to music
• Waving on command or in appropriate situations
• Drinking from a straw
• She only has 2 teeth on the bottom, but the top ones look like they will be coming in any day now.
• She is a good eater... She can feed herself Cheerios, Gold Fish, Ritz Crackers, and pieces of waffle, bread, chicken, peas, fruit or whatever we are eating.
• Saying Mama, Mommy, MiMaMi & DaDa, Daddy, Hi Da to us
  
• Jabbering in her own language and "reading" to us as she turns the pages of the book...
• Starting to say a few words - her first real word was "Tur-tle", she can also say "dog", "hi", "air-plane", "all done"...
• She does such sweet little things, like walking over to me and putting her head on my shoulder, or sitting in my lap on the floor.
• She loves being outside... especially playing with leaves, rocks, and sticks

We are having so much fun with her and enjoy watching her learn and grow. She is such a happy baby and is learning something new every day! It's so hard to believe that she is already 1 year old - time really flies when you're having fun! We're just trying to take lots of pictures to capture all the memories and cherish every second with our precious little girl. We are so blessed!
