Happy Easter!

This beautiful Sunday in Florida we went to church, then had a wonderful lunch with April & Chris and their whole family at the compound. Ali was pretty chill hanging out on the little picnic table before the Big Easter Egg Hunt! Isn't she cute in the little dress that Eddie brought her back from Manchester on one of his trips through the UK.

Ali changed into a clean outfit and rode around on the go-cart for a while ;)

Then decided to shoot some hoops...

Then she tried out the scooter... I was impressed!

We bit the bullet and did our landscaping project at the rental property.
The shrubs had been severely damaged by the freeze earlier in the year,
so we picked up some new shrubs that are cold hearty and can survive
in the desert! Quite a demand, but let's hope for the best!

We weed-eated around the house, removed all the existing plants along the front and all the hibiscus along the side. Then we planted 12 new shrubs along the front and side of the house, repositioned all the rocks, and pruned back the palm trees and elephant ears.


We want to keep our house and neighborhood looking good
for all our friends and neighbors in Lockmar ;)

I'm so proud of my little brother!

He has worked very hard to get to where he is now,

and had the tough decision to make between 2 great job offers...

Baby #2... 27 weeks

4/20/11 - Today we had a follow-up ultrasound of Baby #2 @ 27 weeks.
Dr. Moralis said that everything looked great!
The baby is approximately 2 pounds 6 oz and 14.5" long.
She is right on track!

I'm feeling great, and baby is still tumbling around... I say it feels like she's practicing her floor routine for gymnastics! I love feeling the movement... nice reassurance that she's doing ok in there ;) Less than 3 months before we get to meet our little girl!!!

Ali's "Big Girl Bed"

4/10/2011 - Ali's 2nd birthday marked the day for the transition
from her crib to her big girl bed!

Ali helped me put the bed together and was very excited
about getting to sleep in her Big Girl Bed for the 1st time...


We're trying to get into a good routine before bedtime.
We've been taking a bath, brushing teeth, getting PJ's on, reading 3 stories, and saying our night night prayers as soft music plays in the background.
She has several favorite books... "Birdie book", "Busy Farm book", "Mickey Truck book", "Bible Stories", "Lion book", "Love you Mommy book", "Love you Daddy book"...

It's been a couple weeks now and so far, she's doing great with the transition... it takes a little longer to put her to bed b/c if she's not asleep when we get up, then she's up too!

Every once in a while, we'll go into check on her and she will have rotated into a new position... this one was rather funny...

...but i just spin her around and tuck her back in ;)

She usually comes down the hall and to our room in the mornings.

Ali's 2nd Birthday!

Ali had a great birthday weekend with family and friends!

CiCi, Pop Pop, and Uncle Dru came down to celebrate...
We enjoyed a beautiful day at the beach!

Then, Ali helped Mama & Daddy with a little yard work before the party...

Now... It's Party Time!

Minnie Mouse helped us celebrate Ali's 2nd birthday on Sunday, April 10th.

Ali loved seeing all her friends... Bryleigh, Elliana, Chase, Caleb, Alex, Hunter & Brady, Tyson, Max, Jack, Amaiyah from Ms. Shelia's house, Mark & Rosemary from next door

The kids all had tons of fun in the pool...

Ali was pretty tired by the end of the day...

After the party, Ali had so much fun in the pool she wanted to get in again... and she wanted daddy to sit "right here!" Looks like that big grin on the birthday girl's precious little face worked to get her just what she wanted... her Daddy!

Happy Birthday Ali Payton! We are so proud of you for all you can do... and you're only 2! You have grown up to be a sweet, polite, loving little girl - We ALL love you!
