A Saturday at the Park & Daddy's trip out west

This morning Eddie and I completed an infant CPR course north of EauGalley. We decided to go exploring, so we went to the park at Cocoa Beach Pier to walk around. It was a nice park, right along the river.
On our way south, we stopped at Merit Island Toyota to see what they had on the lot, then went by Toyota of Melbourne.

Once we got back home, Eddie needed to pack for his trip out west. He was going to visit some suppliers for work and would be back Friday afternoon.

We really missed Daddy while he was gone! This was only my 2nd week back at work, so still quite a bit to adjust to! Don't ever underestimate the power of teamwork!

These are a few of his pictures from his trip to Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles, California.

Ali's Delightful Squeals - Watch & Listen!

Ali is really becoming more interactive every day! She will look at you and smile, and you can smile at her and her eyes just light up. Those looks just melt your heart! It's indescribable.
Her laugh is a delightful squeal, so excited just to make a noise!
She understands us when we talk to her... it's so amazing!
These are a couple videos that we took to try and capture some of what we're seeing daily ;)

Ali's 1st shuttle launch!

Endeavour Lifts Off

Under a cloud-washed sky, spectators watch as space shuttle Endeavour rises majestically from Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on the STS-127 mission to the International Space Station. Liftoff was at 6:03 p.m. EDT on July 15, 2009, and was the sixth launch attempt for the mission. The launch was scrubbed on June 13 and June 17 when a hydrogen gas leak occurred during tanking due to a misaligned ground umbilical carrier plate. The mission was postponed July 11, 12 and 13 due to weather conditions near the Shuttle Landing Facility at Kennedy that violated rules for launching, and lightning issues.

Endeavour will deliver the Japanese Experiment Module's Exposed Facility and the Experiment Logistics Module-Exposed Section in the final of three flights dedicated to the assembly of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Kibo laboratory complex on the station.

We were riding down Palm Bay Road at 10:54am on Friday July 31st when we heard the 2 sonic booms from Endeavour's scheduled landing at Kennedy Space Center!!!

My return to work...

This is a really hard week!
I'm leaving my little girl with the sitter for the first time. Mrs. Shelia is great and I'm very comfortable with her, but it's still hard to leave Ali with ANYONE!
Other than leaving Ali with Eddie on Tues nights for a couple hours while I'm at bible study, I have not been without her right by my side since the day she was born.
I have been praying about this decision quite a bit. I feel that God has introduced Shelia into our lives and given me the ideal situation at work. I have a great team, a challenging position, and the flexibility of a reduced work week (Tues - Thurs). I feel like all the stars are aligning, and this is where I should start... Nothing is permanent - I'm just taking it one day at a time...
There is no doubt in my mind who get's 1st priority!!!

Jumperoo!!!

Our neighbors were nice enough to pass on their Jumperoo to Ali...
and she LOVES it!

Ali giving us that look... "What are you doing with me now?"
We gave her a little stool so that she can bounce, bounce, bounce...
She can ALMOST touch the ground... with the tip of her big toe!... and now she's tired from all that jumping!

Ali to the rescue!

This morning I was cleaning up around the house when I got a call from Caroline. She was over on beachside at the doctor's office and her car would not start. Ali and I were on a mission to rescue Caroline, Anna & Chris. It turned out just being a weak battery, so I was able to hook up the jumper cables and get her going again. It was a good excuse to quit cleaning the house and enjoy lunch at Panera's with Caroline ;)
That's what friends are for!
