Baby #2 Update...

Today was a big day for us... we had our final appointment with Dr. Moralis at Florida Perinatal.  He has been a great doctor and very re-assuring throughout the entire pregnancy that I'm doing everything in my power to make sure this little girl is as healthy as possible.

We had an ultrasound Bio-Physical Profile (BPP) to check for a number of different elements.  (fetal body movements, tone, breathing movements, and amniotic fluid volume)  As usual, she scored a perfect 8/8!

They also took measurements to estimate the size/weight of the baby... she measured to be 6lbs 3oz, and 51% on the growth charts for 35 wks and 6 days.

And to top all of that off, she has assumed the proper position... head down!  The last few weeks, she has been transverse... usually by this time, they are running out of room and need to make their move - the sooner the better.  Just a day or so before the appointment I told Eddie that I thought she had made her move, and she did~

Looks like we are on track for another cooperative little girl!
(Ali sure does have our expectations set high!)

The plan as of today is not to go past 39 weeks (July 15th), so that means we have at most 3 weeks to go before we get to meet our precious little girl!

Ali is a FISH...

Monday May 23, 2011 Ali started her ISR (Infant Swim Research) Refresher lessons.  The plan was 2-3 weeks of lessons to get her skills back from the prior swim season and to take her to the next level in the pool.
Day 1 - She did great!

Day 2
Day 4
Day 6

Day 8
Friday of the 2nd week, it all clicked!

It must have been the combination of being at the lake all day, no nap,
and Uncle Dru being here???
Ali remembered it all and was doing excellent!
She was sequencing with her swim/float/swim, showing us really strong kicks,
and doing it all with a BIG smile!!!  Even better for a mommy to see ;)

                                             Day 9

She went from holding on to me very very tightly, to swimming, floating, jumping off the side, you name it!  We definitely have a little water baby on our hands!

Ali, we love you and are SO proud of you!!!

Disney - Hollywood Studios

Today we decided to go to Hollywood Studios for our 4th Disney adventure!
It was by far the hottest day and the most crowded yet... even on a Friday!
But we still had a great time, and Ali enjoyed the adventure...
She even gave MICKEY MOUSE a High Five!

This was the backdrop of the set for downtown Amsterdam...

Ali had fun playing in the "Honey, I shrunk the kids!" movie set...

She liked seeing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse live on stage...

and liked the music from the "Disney Rocks" Concert

She's such a big girl now!

And the fun is only beginning...

Happy Anniversary!

Today Eddie and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary!
It's hard to believe that it was 8 years ago
that I walked down the isle
to marry my best friend and partner for life!

When I got to work this morning, I found a special surprise waiting for me...
a beautiful orchid with a card from Eddie!
Now, that's a great way to start my day!
I had tears in my eyes as I read the card...
It's always the little things that seem to mean the most ;)

We each had busy days with lots of meetings,
but were looking forward to our special date night together at Yellow Dog Cafe!
We enjoyed a nice meal together overlooking the river.
This is a place that I had heard lots about, but driven by
for the last 8 years that we have lived here in Florida!

Shelia and Aimee spoiled Ali a bit by taking her out to eat at Chili's...
when we came to pick her up, she had already had a bath and special dinner!
We're so blessed to have both of you!

Happy Anniversary Eddie!
I'm looking forward to many more in the years ahead!
You're a great husband and even better father - I love you!!!

Baby Myers #2 in 3D/4D!

5/2/2011 - Baby #2 @ 28 weeks 5 days

Today we got to see our newest addition
with even more detail via 3D/4D Ultrasound!

She is approximately 2.5 pounds and 14.5" long.
Right on track!

The tech, Lyndsay, started out with the 2D ultrasound,
then switches over to the 3D imagery...
these are a few profile images

little one as a strong heart beat...

Switched over to 3D... so cute!

her little arm and her face

Towards the end of the session, our little girl decided she was done w/ us taking pictures... she put her hand in front of her face (between the camera probe and her cute little face)...

so we decided to look at her little feet...

She's well photographed and she's only 27wks 5days!
I'm not doing too bad so far with pictures for baby #2...
let's see how I do once she's born ;)

You can compare these pictures w/ the ones of Ali at 27wks...

Captain Ali...

This weekend we got the boat out, cleaned up, and running!
Major accomplishment ;)

We took the boat out to one of the chain of lakes that included
Trout Lake, Coon Lake, Lake Lizzy, and Aligator Lake in St. Cloud.

Ali loved driving the boat!

We cruised around the chain of lakes just enjoying being on the water
and letting Ali get her sea legs back.

She quickly remembered what the throttle did
and how to make the boat "go fast"...
She just needs to put that together with looking where she's going
and we'll be set!

We docked at our favorite restaurant and had some lunch.

The patio has a great view of the lake while you enjoy your lunch under the big oak tree...

Then back to the boat!

... Is this cute or what?

She pulled each of us skiing... Daddy 1st!

Ali was ready for a juice box after pulling Daddy skiing...

Then it was Mommy's turn to ski...

I think this was baby #2's first ski trip... 31 weeks and counting!

The sky was so beautiful...

This is a beach area where we could set up a tent and spend the day...

This is one of the little canals that connects the chain of lakes...

... another of the canals to connect all the lakes!

This is the new boat ramp that we discovered on our most recent trip...

Ali was loving the boat!

...next time we'll see about getting her out on some skis!
