1st Day @ Wellington Academy

They did great when I dropped them off on their 1st day -
absolutely no separation anxiety from Ali or Avery!
Ali is excited to go to big school... we have been talking about it for a while now,
so i think she was well prepared for what to expect...

When Ali and I were talking about school, she was so cute - she wanted to tell the teacher about herself -
So, she made a special picture w/ lots of unique finger prints,
and I wrote down what she told me (more or less)...
My name is Ali Payton Myers
I like to ride my bike and play outside with my friends
I like to go to the beach and to the lake
I like to shoot baskets (basket ball)
I can swim in my pool and float on my back
I like gymnastics and zoomba
I like to ride my motorcycle/dirtbike
I have a little sister, Avery (and I'm a good big sister)
My Mommy & Daddy work at Harris
My Uncle Dru just got married in Beaufort, SC and he flies airplanes

This was Ali's 1st report - After their first day of school, we celebrated with a family date night at Chic-Fil-A... Ali was a very happy girl & Avery was out like a light 2 min after she got to her car seat.
What a relief... my girls are both very happy @ Wellington!
And they are close to my work ;)
Our prayers were answered -- God has blessed us in so many ways!

Last week @ Shelia's...

This is Ali's & Avery's last week at Shelia's -
Ali has been there since she was 3 months old (she's 3 yrs now),
and now Avery has been there since she was 3 months too!
Ms. Shelia is moving to Ocala (the forcing factor here).
Ali is 3, it is a great time to move her to Wellington Academy.
Avery is along for the ride - she is so outgoing, she'll do great where ever she is.

From the first time Eddie and I met Shelia and her daughter Aimee, we just had a good feeling.  It's one of those that you can't easily describe, but it just feels right.  We prayed a lot for God to guide us in the right direction, and He has not let us down, so i'm trying to keep the faith!

You have been a blessing sent from above to watch over, care for, protect, and love our most valuable posession(s).  We don't know how to say Thank You for all that you have done for us as parents and for our children, so I made a book for you to have and enjoy looking back over and cherishing the memories you have made over the last 3 years.  We love you and we know you love our kids because they love you too!
You and Aimee will forever be a special part of our childrens lives and we will miss you so much.  Please come visit us when you come to town -
Thank you for all you have done for us!

These are a few pictures that Shelia and Aimee took --
I love to see how happy they are during the day!

Conversations with Ali...

This AM on the way to Ms. Shelia's, I was totally amazed and entertained
by the conversation that Ali was having with me.
Some of the topics we were discussing were:
  • Power Lines and Power Poles -
    • "Mommy, let me tell you something. The little man goes up in the bucket truck waaaaay up high to put the power lines on the power poles..."
    • "...and, if we don't get electricity to our house, then we can't turn on the lights, or the fans, or the microwave, or apple TV!"                  TOO CUTE!
  • Cell Phone Towers -
    • She was looking out the window and said to me...
    • "Mommy, those poles don't have lines, how do they work?"
    • I told her that there were antennas on those towers that transmitted signals, like waves in the air that we can't see...
    • "Yea, those signals in the air that we can't see, help us talk to daddy's cell phone..."

  • Air Traffic Control Towers -
    • "Hey Mommy, you know what!  The towers talk to the airplanes, like Uncle Dru's and they tell them that they can land... and, the big towers say to the airplanes that they are clear to take off into the sky."
  • Directions -
    • When we are driving around town, Ali is very aware of where we are and how we get there.  She knows and tells me when we get close to:
    • Our House
    • FireHouse
    • Shelia's
    • Publix - "why are we turning this way?"
    • Daddy's work
    • Gymnastics
    • Bryleigh & Elliana's
    • Chic-Fil-A

Ali is such a smart girl, I'm so proud of her for all she is
