This one is my favorite!!!
We spend lots of time like this...

Our little Jamaican Traveler

We got home late Sunday from our adventure to Jamaica for Carrie's Wedding. Ali is 10 weeks old now and well on her way to becoming a world traveler... she did absolutely amazing! I thought I had a baby doll instead of a real infant! She is so easy going and laid back - just keep her changed and fed and let her catch an occasional nap. We are really enjoying every minute of being parents to such a precious little girl!
I had dreams of what this would be like, but reality far exceeds anything I could have ever imagined!
This trip was filled with 1st for Ali:
1st night away from home
1st airplane ride (1st time outside of the USA)1st day at the beach
(even though we live 10 minutes from the beach in Fl)
1st dip in the pool (saved that one for Jamaica too!)
1st time to meet Aunt Carrie & Uncle Jay
1st wedding / flower girl
1st Fathers Day
Carrie & Jay tied the knot on June 20, 2009 in Sandy Bay, Jamaica. It was a beautiful wedding!
We enjoyed meeting all of their friends and relaxing with the family on a tropical island. We went skiing, scuba diving, swimming, and had lots of good food and drinks.
On the way home, our flight was delayed by 6+ hours! Normally, that would be a tragedy, especially with an infant, but it turned out to be an extra day at a resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica! I told Eddie I had it planned the whole time - as his Fathers Day surprise!

2 Month Dr. Visit

Today Ali and I took a long walk, then went to her 2 month Dr's Appointment. If you have kids, you know what that means... more shots! Ali did great, she just cried a little. We are very fortunate to have a great pediatrician, Dr. Mas. She is great with Ali and always takes time to answer ALL of my questions.

She is growing up quickly!
She is 9 weeks old today and weighs 12lbs 7oz and has stretched upward to 23"!
As Dr. Mas was doing her exam on Ali, she put her on her tummy and she rolled over! This is her first time rolling over from front to back!

Then when Dr. Mas went to help her sit up, she stiffened up her leg muscles and stood up - Dr. Mas said that she was likely to go straight to walking! She said usually they sit before they stand, and stand before they crawl, and crawl before they walk...

Some Precious Pictures - Not too bad...

One of my friends, Caroline, is a professional photographer and has been taking pictures of Ali and the other new babies... However, she has a new little girl, and I wanted her to have the same great pictures to capture the feelings and wonderful memories that are all too easily forgotten.
If you know me, you know I love photography, so this was an opportunity for me to get a lesson from a pro - I admire her work and want to know how she does it! So, Ali and I went over to her house and I had her give me an impromptu refresher lesson on photography and how to use her camera, then i started snapping away!
These are some of the precious pictures of Caroline with her baby Anna, just doing normal day-to-day stuff! I think they turned out really cute!
Ali enjoyed playing w/ Anna's play mat while I took pictures.
The girls are exactly 5 weeks apart - I know they'll be great friends!
Caroline, thanks for letting me do this!
I'm up for another impromptu lesson and photo shoot in about 2 months...
